How we handle man and van jobs
Not every move needs a full removals crew. If you’re shifting a one-bed flat, collecting a sofa from a showroom or clearing a few bits into storage, a man and van is quicker to book and cheaper to run. You pick the van size, choose one, two or three people, and pay for the time we’re working with you.
Every driver on our team knows how to load a van so things don’t move in transit, and every van carries blankets, straps and a trolley as standard. We’re not a courier dropping parcels at the kerb. We carry things in, up the stairs and into the room.

- One-bed flats and house shares
- Furniture collections from shops, eBay or Facebook Marketplace
- Moving a few items into or out of storage
- Office bits, stock and small business deliveries
Pricing
What does it cost?
Man and van jobs are charged by the hour with a two-hour minimum. The clock starts when we arrive and stops when we finish unloading. See the full table of rates for every van size and crew on our prices page.

Moving day: protect and load
The crew does a quick walk-through with you, lays floor protection, wraps furniture, takes apart anything that needs it, and loads the van so everything is strapped in.
FAQ
Man and Van questions
Can I travel in the van?
Yes, there’s usually a free passenger seat for one person. With a three-person crew the seats are taken, so you’d need to make your own way.
Will the driver help carry things?
Yes. A one-man booking means the driver loads and carries with you. For anything heavy, like a sofa, a double wardrobe or a washing machine, book two people so nobody gets hurt and nothing gets dropped.
What happens if the job takes longer than I booked?
We just keep going and bill in half-hour blocks after the minimum. You won’t be asked to leave half your things behind.
