How we handle packing & unpacking
Packing takes longer than anyone expects. A kitchen alone can fill thirty boxes, and it’s usually the glasses, plates and pictures that get broken, not the furniture. Our packers do this every week, so it takes them hours rather than evenings.
We normally come the day before your move, work room by room and label every box with its contents and destination room. You can have the whole house packed, or just the parts you’d rather not deal with. On the other end, we can unpack, flatten the boxes and take them away.

What does it cost?
Packing is charged at our hourly crew rate plus the materials you use. For a full house we’ll estimate the hours and materials in your quote, so you know the total beforehand.

Packing & Unpacking questions
Can I just buy boxes from you?
Yes. We can drop off boxes, tape and wrap ahead of your move so you can pack yourself.
Will you pack the contents of drawers?
Light items like clothes can often stay in chest drawers. Anything heavy, loose or breakable should come out, and we’ll pack it for you.
Is there anything you won’t pack?
We don’t pack flammable liquids, gas bottles, paint, or valuables such as cash, passports and jewellery. Keep those with you.
