How We Work
How We Work: Our Removals Process
What happens from your first message to the last box coming off the van, the vans we use, and the kit our crews carry on every job.
The process
Six steps, no surprises
Every move we do follows the same routine, whether it’s a single sofa or a four-bed house. That routine is what stops things going wrong.

- Step 1
Tell us what’s moving
Call, WhatsApp or use the quote form. A rough list of furniture, photos of anything large, and both postcodes are all we need. For bigger homes we’ll do a quick video walk-round.
- Step 2
Get a clear quote
We come back with an hourly estimate or a fixed price, the van size and crew we recommend, and exactly what’s included. If something about the access worries us, we’ll say so now rather than on the day.
- Step 3
Confirm your date
Once you’re happy, we lock in the date and time. The day before, we send a reminder with your arrival window and a number to reach the crew directly.
- Step 4
Moving day: protect and load
The crew does a quick walk-through with you, lays floor protection, wraps furniture, takes apart anything that needs it, and loads the van so everything is strapped in.
- Step 5
Drive, unload and rebuild
At the new place we carry each item to the room you choose, rebuild beds and wardrobes, and take the covers and blankets away with us.
- Step 6
Final check
Before we leave we walk round with you, check nothing has been left in the van, and settle the bill based on the time used or the fixed price agreed.

Equipment
The kit on every van
Most damage on moving day happens because a crew didn’t have the right thing to hand. These 22 items travel with every one of our vans, so the crew never has to improvise.

Before moving day
A few things you can do
Two weeks before
Book parking suspensions or a loading bay, and check whether your building needs the lift reserved.
The week before
Start packing rooms you don’t use every day. Use up the freezer and give away what you don’t want to move.
Two days before
Defrost the fridge freezer and have any plumbed or gas appliances disconnected.
The night before
Pack a bag with chargers, medication, documents, kettle, mugs and toilet roll, and keep it with you, not in the van.
On the day
Keep a path clear, keep pets somewhere quiet, and point out anything fragile or not coming with us.
Our standards
What you can expect from us
