How we handle house removals
Moving house is mostly logistics: keys that arrive late, a lift booked for the wrong hour, a sofa that fitted through the old door and not the new one. Our job is to take that off your plate. We send a crew that has done hundreds of these, a van sized for your inventory rather than a guess, and enough blankets and straps to protect every piece.
Most of our house moves are within London or within Greater Manchester, but we regularly run between the two cities and further afield. Whether it’s a third-floor flat in Ealing or a four-bed semi in Didsbury, the approach is the same: we plan it properly, turn up when we said we would, and don’t leave until the last box is in the right room.

- Studio and one-bed flats
- Family houses of three to five bedrooms
- Moves with a completion-day deadline
- Homes with tight stairs, no lift or restricted parking
Pricing
What does it cost?
Smaller moves are usually charged by the hour using the rates on our prices page. For three-bed homes and up, or anything with a completion-day deadline, we tend to give a fixed quote after a quick video or in-person survey so there’s nothing to worry about on the day.

FAQ
House Removals questions
How far in advance should I book a house move?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most dates. Fridays and the last few days of the month fill up first because that’s when most completions land, so book those earlier if you can. We do take short-notice jobs when a van is free.
Do I need to pack everything myself?
That’s up to you. Plenty of customers pack their own boxes and leave furniture to us. If you’d rather not, our packing team can do the whole house the day before, or just the kitchen and fragile items.
What if my completion is delayed on the day?
It happens more than people think. We keep your belongings safely in the van while solicitors sort it out, and if it runs into the evening or overnight we’ll talk you through the options, including short-term storage.
