How we handle furniture dismantling & assembly

A lot of furniture simply won’t go down a staircase in one piece. Wardrobes, bed frames, corner sofas and big dining tables often have to come apart first. We bring the tools to do it, bag and label every screw and bracket, and tape the bag to the piece it came from so nothing goes missing.

At your new home we rebuild it, check it’s level and put it where you want it. We also build new flat-pack furniture if you’ve ordered it for the new place.

FAQ

Furniture Dismantling & Assembly questions

Will flat-pack survive being taken apart?

Most will, if it’s done carefully. Older chipboard can be fragile, so we’ll tell you honestly if we think something won’t survive a second build.

Can you put up shelves or mount a TV?

We can take wall-mounted items down. Mounting TVs or drilling into walls at the new property is a job for a handyman, and we’re happy to recommend one.

Do I need to empty wardrobes first?

Yes, please empty wardrobes and drawers before we take them apart. Wardrobe boxes are useful for hanging clothes.
