Crew options

How many people do you need?

Self Load

You and your friends do the loading and carrying, and the driver drives and checks the load is secure. The cheapest option, but items you carry yourselves aren’t covered by our insurance.

1 Man

The driver loads, carries and drives, working alongside you. Good for smaller moves where you can lend a hand with the heavy pieces.

2 Men

Our most booked option. Two people can safely carry sofas, wardrobes and white goods, and get the job done in far less time.

3 Men

For two-bed homes upwards, or anywhere with lots of stairs. A third person roughly halves the carrying time on a big job.

FAQ

Pricing questions

When does the clock start and stop?

It starts when the crew arrives at your first address and stops when the last item is unloaded. We don’t charge for the drive to you, and after the minimum we bill in half-hour blocks.

Is there a minimum booking?

Two hours for most bookings, three hours for a three-person crew.

Do you offer fixed prices?

Yes. For larger homes, long-distance moves, pianos and office moves we usually give a fixed price after a video or in-person survey. That price includes everything we agreed in writing.

Are your prices the same in Manchester?

Yes, the same rates apply across London and Greater Manchester. The London Congestion Charge obviously only applies to jobs inside the central London zone.

How do I pay?

We’ll confirm payment options when you book. The final bill is settled once the job is finished, based on the time used or the fixed price agreed.

Want an exact figure?

Send us your postcodes and a rough list of what’s moving and we’ll come back with a written price.
